Happy Birthday Dr. King!

Last week we challenged you to come up with one word that you would commit to for the remainder of 2012.  We were overwhelmed by the number of responses on Facebook .  It inspired teachers to use the concept in their classrooms and managers to use it with their teams.  If you missed last week's post, here's the link. Today we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday!  He was passionate about his fight for equality.  On Friday I had the opportunity to see history being made when I traveled to Jacksonville to witness the first African American mayor welcome Dr. Martin Luther King's youngest daughter, Dr. Bernice A. King.  Her message was thought provoking and stirred me to write today's post.  She simply asked each of the 2400 attendees, " why can't we ?"  She was blessed to grow up in a home where her mother and father remained committed to servant leadership .  They recognized that they would only travel to the promiselan...
