Double Portion Inspiration

Well it's Friday and for most of us that means the weekend is ahead and it's time to have fun.  Renee and I were wondering…What do you love? What do you love to do on the weekends? What do you do for fun? What puts the biggest smile on your face? What makes any tough day better for you? What helps you relieve stress? Below is a picture of me at the South Beach Food and Wine Festival .  I had a blast because I simply LOVE food.  Whether it's caviar, cookies, chicken or champagne, I can find pleasure in almost any food.  That's right, I'm a foodie!  This little treat in my hand was a double stuffed chocolate chip cookie with a shot of milk.  Isn't that clever? Singer Island 2013 It's Fun Friday and the 1st few days of May!  What could be better?  The April showers have bought the bloom of May flowers and we are excited about the new month.  You can't even begin to imagine all that God has in store for you this month.  The BEST is yet to come and we declare that over each and every reader. It's time for Friday Favorites and I'm sharing some of my much loved workouts.  Losing or maintaining weight loss can be a challenge, so finding a workout you absolutely enjoy is a must.  I'm not a member of a gym so I use the outdoors quite often to exercise. My love of running tops the list.  It wasn't long ago that I discovered running and I've enjoyed it every since.  It is a sure fire way to burn a ton of calories.  It's the greatest feeling in the world to strap on a excellent pair of running shoes and hit the pavement.  It's an exercise that can be completed whether at home, in the gym, or on the road traveling.  If you are new to running, here's some encouragement to get started. P90X is my go to workout when I'm traveling.  I will also use it at home if it's raining and I'm not able to get outdoors.  The P90X fitness program contain dvd's that target specific body parts (back, legs, arms,...

I love books!  Books are all over my house.  I'm not a mom that buys toys but boy will I spend tons of money on books.  I just enjoy reading. Early on I wanted to instill that same passion into my boys.   Now that my oldest son is heading into his teenage years, I've cleaned out the bookshelf.  But somehow I can't get rid of these childhood favorites. Here are my top 3 choices: I'm Parker:  Crystal Bowman The main character, Parker,  is so inquisitive and asks questions about everything.  He takes the toddler reader on a journey of adventures as he discovers the answers to all of life's BIG questions. Essence Magazine-March 2013 We thought it would be fabulous to share with our readers some of our favorite things .   I have a secret obsession with lipstick and lipgloss.  I don't wear much makeup but I love a great lip.  I am always searching for a new hot color- red , pink , bronze , orange , matte, glossy, lip shimmer or frosty I will try it.
